Full Custody Single Moms

My husband and I are going through a divorce.  We split up while I was pregnat with our son who is now a few weeks old.  I won’t go into that long story but I will discuss his first meeting with his son.

 My ex put off meeting his new son.  He wasn’t even there for the delivery!  He kept telling me in emails (not on the telephone) that he wanted to meet his son.  However, he never really tried to set a time to do so.  That was honestly ok with me because I wasn’t in too much of a hurry to see him due to the domestic violence issues.

 But he finally got around to making plans to see the baby.  We had to meet in a public place (at a restaurante) as there was no way I would take my son to see him otherwise for safety reasons.  Basically, he was like emotionless when he saw his son for the first time.  His expressions were basically empty and it frightened me.

 He didn’t say anything about seeing him again just said, “see you guys around.”  This leads me to wonder what it is he was thinking.  But I just cannot imagine a guy having such an empty response to his son.  My son looks so much like him too and I know guys often like having a son who looks like them but still he had no reasonable reaction.
